Job summary

G.W. Lisk Company in Clifton Springs, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to bridge operations and engineering, troubleshooting production and test equipment, and supporting maintenance across lines.

You will analyze data to drive continuous improvement and work with PLCs (Allen Bradley) to modify programs as needed while maintaining equipment databases and supporting supplier procurement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Technical field (preferred).
• 2+ years experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, data, manuals and handbooks.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment including oscilloscopes, dielectric testers, and ohmmeters.
• Knowledge of hydraulic circuitry and components, including motors and valves.
• Understanding of electrical circuitry and wiring inputs/outputs.
• Ability to use MS Office and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with 3D printing equipment (FDM and SLA).
• Desire to learn and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing by troubleshooting and diagnosing process, equipment, and quality issues.
• Troubleshoot custom manufacturing and test equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repair duties on departmental manufacturing equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools and machining equipment to modify or repair components.
• Assist with training operators and assemblers on production equipment and tools.
• Analyze production to suggest improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes.
• Maintain equipment database and assist with procurement of spare items.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on new equipment specifications and development.
• Provide data and troubleshooting information to Maintenance Technicians and Engineers for corrective actions.
• Interface with PLCs (Allen Bradley) to troubleshoot machine issues or modify programs.

General Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician role is respo nsible for helping bridging the gap between manufacturing operations and Manufacturing Engineering. This role will work autonomously to help support the manufacturing floor by trouble shooting production and test equipment, tooling, and assembly processes. Additionally, you will use data to support generating continuous improvement activities and ensuring preventative maintenance across equipment.

Specific Duties:

• Support Manufacturing by troubleshooting and diagnosing process, equipment, and quality issues.
• Troubleshoot custom manufacturing and test equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and repair duties on departmental manufacturing equipment including related pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Thorough knowledge on hydraulic circuitry and components, including motors, pumps, valves, and high-pressure plumbing.
• Understanding of electrical circuitry and wiring inputs/outputs.
• Ability to use computer software, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with 3D printing equipment (FDM and SLA).
• Desired ability to learn.
