Job summary

Wilsonart in Fletcher, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance, preventive maintenance, and monitor equipment under supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the dept and regulations.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic tech.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use a welder and cutting torch.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment breakdowns as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and/or machinery.
• Modify new and existing equipment to meet production and quality needs.
• Install new equipment in plant as required.
• Fabricate, weld, repair and rebuild parts as part of maintenance duties.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain and keep accurate records and documentation.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Assist maintenance personnel in other areas as needed.
• Attend department safety and quality meetings.
• Follow department and company safety guidelines.
• Participate in Lean initiatives.
• Perform other position‑appropriate duties in a competent, professional manner.
