Job description

Looking for an opportunity to work with heavy duty diesel trucks, trailers, and buses in a growing company? Consider a career as a Mechanical Technician with LubeZone, Inc., a provider of on-highway lubrication and preventative maintenance services for the trucking industry. We are seeking individuals who want to get their hands dirty!

Responsibilities include:

1. Servicing trucks, trailers, and buses with mechanical repairs, lubrication, preventative maintenance, inspections, and oil changes.
2. Maintaining the shop area, including bays, equipment, and tools to ensure a safe and clean environment.
3. Assisting with directing vehicles in and out of service bays and ensuring the use of chock blocks.
4. Conducting oil and grease procedures safely and according to specific flow charts.
5. Presenting customers with sales options through an informative approach, including informing them of additional services and providing proper quotes (CTO and CCO).
6. Verifying oil dipstick readings before directing customers to start their vehicles.
7. Completing all work order entries accurately during and after services.
8. Ensuring 100% accuracy in fleet services as per each company's procedures.
9. Assisting with customer concerns and service issues for owner-operators and fleet clients.
10. Reporting safety incidents or accidents to store management.
11. Conducting preventive maintenance on store equipment.
12. Ensuring shelves are properly stocked and disposing of used parts and cores correctly.
13. Assisting with Lube Services during slow periods.
14. Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Desirable Qualifications:

1. At least 2 years of experience with semi-tractor oil, lubrication, and tire requirements.
2. Strong mechanical skills and good judgment.
3. Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
4. Effective communication skills with management and customers.
5. Ability to perform inspections compliant with FMCSA standards.
6. Physical ability to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods.
7. Flexibility to work various shift schedules.
8. Good customer service and communication skills.
9. Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
10. Strong work ethic, dependability, and accountability.
11. Must obtain or possess Texas Commercial Inspector Certification and ASE Certification.
12. Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
13. Computer literacy.
