Job summary

HDR's Building Engineering Services Group in Omaha seeks a Mechanical Team Lead to guide a team of engineers, EITs and designers, aligning staffing with projects and maintaining technical excellence across healthcare, data centers, labs, and civic facilities.

You will mentor staff, work with market leaders to staff projects, and lead design efforts on key initiatives within HDR's national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience.
• Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• An active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of mechanical engineers, EITs and designers with varying experience.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Team Leads and the Mechanical Business Class Lead on staffing and proposals.
• Provide leadership with focus on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring and staff development.
• Coordinate with market sector leadership to ensure excellence across multiple markets.
• Function as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects.
• Assist with recruitment and growth of the business class.
