Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Texas Institute for Electronics in Austin, TX is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, precision systems engineering, or other relevant discipline.
• Prior experience with CAD software, and modeling and simulation software.
• Goal-oriented and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs, fabricates, assembles and tests equipment systems.
• Creates and maintains CADs of equipment systems.
• Assists with researching and procuring various equipment sub-systems.
• Compiles reports on costs and inventory levels.
• Other duties as assigned
