Job summary

CACI is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to support mission-critical DOW system delivery. You will apply systems engineering and mechanical expertise to develop and sustain mechanical systems, updating design documentation and ensuring lifecycle compliance.

The role emphasizes hardware-oriented systems engineering, requirements development, interface definition, and reliability analyses, with collaboration across mechanical, electrical, RF, and software teams to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of mechanical/hardware‑oriented systems engineering experience.
• Experience with requirements development and design support (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Experience with SolidWorks or CAD tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical and systems engineering to meet requirements and support production and EOL planning.
• Update engineering documentation for system lifecycle activities.
• Contribute to architectures addressing reliability, safety, and mission needs.
• Perform decomposition, interface definition, and support reviews (TRR/SRR/PDR/CDR).
• Support quality analyses (FMECA, FRACAS, hazard analysis) and issue tracking.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, RF, software, and manufacturing teams.
