Cantrell - Gainco is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to own the mechanical design of machinery and automated systems, including EOAT, fixtures, and guarding. You will collaborate with controls, robotics, manufacturing, and field-service teams to ensure performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives.

The role involves in-house and field testing, installation, startup, commissioning, and problem-solving at customer sites as needed, with 25% travel.

Qualifikationen

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• 3 years of experience designing equipment and machinery.
• 3 years of experience using SolidWorks or Inventor in a professional environment.
• Experience troubleshooting machine applications in production environments.
• Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Aufgaben

• Mechanical Design: design and develop integrated electromechanical systems; create 3D CAD models and production drawings; apply hygienic design principles; ensure integration with conveyors and EOAT; produce BOMs and build instructions.
• Engineering Analysis & Validation: perform FEA, DFMEA/PFMEA; conduct design reviews; develop and execute test plans; support prototype builds and FAT; document results and drive corrective actions.
• Troubleshooting & Product Support: diagnose and resolve issues in electromechanical systems; provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams; perform root-cause analysis; support sustaining engineering.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: collaborate across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and quality; drive improvements in performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost; contribute to standards and documentation.
• Field Support: provide on-site installation and commissioning support; assist with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
