Job summary

Tcgrecruit is seeking a Reliability & Mechanical Engineer to support the reliability, optimization, and continuous improvement of equipment used in food ingredient manufacturing. This role will work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify and implement equipment improvements.

The position emphasizes sanitary equipment design, process optimization, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and boost throughput, with a competitive salary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience troubleshooting and improving mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability and performance of industrial production equipment (steam batch reactors, dryers, evaporators, heat exchangers, conveyors, packaging).
• Design heating, cooling, and fluid-handling systems (steam, HX, pumps, piping) for cooking, drying, transferring.
• Plan building modifications, foundations, pipe chases, cat walks for safety approvals; coordinate with contractors.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and lead root-cause analysis to reduce downtime.
• Support capital projects: equipment specs, vendor coordination, installation, and commissioning.
• Develop and update mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and related docs.
• Work with maintenance and operations to implement preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to increase throughput, efficiency, and reduce risk.
• Ensure designs meet FDA/food safety standards and collaborate with automation teams.
