Job summary

R.J. Corman Railroad Company in Mill Creek, OK is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead our locomotive mechanical team. You will oversee daily operations, plan work, coordinate crew scheduling, and ensure safe, efficient maintenance of locomotives and equipment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical experience, knowledge of power and hydraulic tools, and familiarity with rail car repair. Welding, electrical experience, and a Medical Card are pluses.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools is desirable.
• Electrical experience is a plus.
• Experience in rail car repair preferred.
• Welding and oxy-acetylene torching experience is a plus.
• Medical Card holders a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe, efficient, and profitable general management of mechanical operations.
• Oversees operation through planning, daily scheduling, and supervising crews.
• Monitors work practices and safety issues to improve quality and performance.
• Locomotive and FRA inspections.
• Locomotive repairs including mechanical, air, and electrical.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general repairs on locomotives, vehicles, and equipment.
• Freight car repair as needed.
• Must operate Commercial Motor Vehicle.
• Some travel to other locations required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
