Job summary

Quanta Services, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical/Structural Work Package Planner to support project execution near Colorado City, TX. You will assemble and maintain construction work packages, plan short-range work fronts, track progress, and ensure accurate field documentation.

You will collaborate with Superintendents, Engineers, and Procurement to resolve constraints and keep workstreams productive. The role emphasizes 4+ years in planning and project controls, strong Excel and scheduling skills,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction planning, work packaging, scheduling, or project controls.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and structural construction sequencing and drawings.
• Experience developing or coordinating work packages and tracking quantities and progress.
• Proficiency with Excel to maintain trackers, look-aheads, forecasts, and reports.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills for field and leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and mobilize to sites.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Bluebeam, earned value management, or large multi-site projects; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain mechanical and structural work packages from drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Prepare and update three-week look-aheads and short-range plans; document constraints for leadership review.
• Collect field quantities, percent complete data, labor data, and progress; update trackers and reports.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals to ensure information is available for planned work.
• Update project controls reports, manpower data, look-aheads, and logs using established formats.
• Participate in field walks and coordination meetings; track action items and follow up as needed.
• Maintain work package logs, progress databases, and ensure data accuracy across records.
