Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Start Up Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead startup teams, coordinate equipment commissioning, and manage warranty activities across active mechanical projects.

You will work with the Director of Operations and leadership to establish procedures, staffing plans, and performance expectations while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, project collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with extensive experience in supervising teams.
• Experience managing a team and coordinating multiple technicians.
• Must pass background check and drug test; random testing is required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and manage the Mechanical Start Up team, including recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Lead startup activities, troubleshooting, turnover support, and warranty coordination for mechanical equipment.
• Plan staffing, procedures, and milestones with leadership to support startup and warranty growth.
• Coordinate startup work with project teams, controls, electrical, and contractors to ensure readiness and documentation.
• Oversee startup testing of AHUs, RTUs, VAV systems, pumps, chillers, and related controls.
• Maintain safety compliance and professional communication with contractors, vendors, and MSS teams.
