Job summary

SPC Mechanical is seeking a field commissioning professional in Charlotte, NC to lead startup activities, coordinate with multiple trades, and document commissioning processes. You will ensure equipment readiness, perform debugging, and train client personnel on operation and maintenance of installed systems.

The role requires travel to regional projects, deep knowledge of HVAC and plumbing, and the ability to generate clear reports.

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanical service, equipment startup, or commissioning experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel regionally.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and controls systems.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports.
• EPA certification recommended; must be acquired within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist startup and commissioning tasks; document starting conditions.
• Coordinate with PMs and field teams to plan start-up and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot equipment/system operation and propose solutions.
• Maintain QA/QC records and turnover documentation.
• Demonstrate high quality workmanship and safety awareness.
