CTL|Thompson, Inc. in Fort Collins, CO seeks a Mechanical Staff Engineer for full-time work in our labs and on-site job sites. You will conduct product testing on UTM and torsion benches, design fixturing, and prepare reports for clients.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in mechanical engineering, can obtain EIT within 6 months, and have 0–5 years of related experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD and field safety is required; a valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are part of the role.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• EIT designation or ability to obtain within 6 months for qualified degree holders.
• 0–5 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and field testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product testing on UTM and torsion bench and proprietary testing systems.
• Design fixturing for oddly shaped product samples and fabricate as needed.
• Prepare project documents, testing reports and deliverables for clients.
• Validate testing on foundations at construction sites and assess safety practices.
• Develop engineering recommendations for review by a senior engineer.
