Marotta Controls, Inc. in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an Engineer II - Mechanical (Commercial Space Systems) to design and analyze components meeting customer requirements, including materials, tolerances, and test eligible specifications.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent) is required.
• 2–5 years design experience with valves and fluid control devices preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electro‑mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
• Analytical skills in stress, heat transfer and fluid flow.
• Ability to solve complex mechanical problems and perform analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design products to meet customer requirements, including materials and test requirements.
• Coordinate BOM creation and verify accuracy in the business system.
• Create development testing requirements and release drawings for development hardware.
• Monitor customer-driven changes and assess program impact.
• Ensure accuracy of drawings and documents, including tolerances.
• Communicate issues to Engineering leadership in a timely manner.
• Supervise engineering assistants and related staff on project activities.
