Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Mechanical Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects with a focus on mechanical systems. Based in El Cajon, CA, you will oversee preconstruction, design-assist, and field operations across healthcare, data centers, and laboratories.

The role demands 10+ years PM experience in mechanical contracting, 5+ years in industrial projects, and strong financial acumen. Travel to job sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in mechanical contracting or related construction industries.
• At least 5 years of experience managing industrial projects.
• Minimum 5 years of preconstruction/design-assist experience.
• Demonstrated success managing healthcare, data centers, laboratories, higher education, and semiconductor projects valued from $15M to $200M.
• Healthcare project exposure is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of field personnel on assigned projects.

Location: Based in El Cajon, CA 92020, must be open to traveling to job sites between Otay Mesa and Carlsbad

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Pay: $155,000 - $175,000

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects with a focus on mechanical systems. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, preconstruction, and field operations primarily on healthcare job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of UMEC field personnel on assigned projects.
• Oversee preconstruction, design-assist, and field operations.
• Drive labor productivity, quality assurance, and project coordination.
• Manage financial performance, including forecasting, reporting, and cash flow.
• Handle material and equipment procurement, change orders, and client relations.
• Lead personnel management and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
• Supervise and direct the work of assigned team members.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in mechanical contracting or related construction industries.
• At least 5 years of experience managing industrial projects.
• Minimum 5 years of preconstruction/design-assist experience.
• Demonstrated success managing projects in healthcare, data centers, laboratories, higher education, and semiconductor sectors, with contract values ranging from $15M to $200M.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Experience working on healthcare job sites is highly desirable.
