Job summary

DistributionNOW is seeking an experienced Mechanical Seal Sales Specialist to grow our seal business across oil & gas, power, mining, water and chemical markets. This field-facing role requires prospecting, building relationships, troubleshooting applications, and closing opportunities in the territory.

The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge of seals with strong account development skills, travel as needed, and a proven track record in industrial sales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical seals, pumps, or rotating equipment sales.
• Strong understanding of seal applications and failure modes.
• Experience with API 682, API 610, and ANSI/ASME is beneficial.
• Ability to travel and visit customers in the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop a territory growth strategy for seals and related equipment.
• Prospect new customers and expand penetration within accounts.
• Identify competitor seals and conversion opportunities.
• Conduct field surveys to document installed seal populations.
• Troubleshoot seal failures and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams on quotes and orders.
• Maintain CRM data, forecasts, and pipeline.
• Support outage and maintenance opportunities.
