Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Seal Specialist to generate seal proposals, presentations, and sales contracts while supporting the outside seals team.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, strong knowledge of seals and pumps, and familiarity with distribution and supply chain considerations. Technical sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, and support systems.
• Proficient with Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of distribution, manufacturing, and supply chain factors.
• Technical sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate seal proposals, presentations, and sales contracts while supporting the outside seals team with mechanical seals.
• Assist customers in improving equipment reliability and increasing MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of sealed equipment.
• Communicate expected delivery dates and expedite orders as necessary
• Identify opportunities to expand product base within every customer account
• Review customer operations for improving business process opportunities
• Continuously update all customers on company product capabilities, services, and enhancements
• Liaising between the company, vendors and customers for up-to-date information on pricing, service, and other issues
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
