Job summary

Balance Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Repair Assembler for a contract-to-hire position in Carrollton, TX. You will read blueprints and work instructions, assemble electro-mechanical parts, and operate hand and power tools on parts ranging from small to larger components.

Starting pay is $16 per hour with paid training and opportunities to grow into advanced assembly or technician roles in a stable electronics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1+ years of assembly or mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools.
• Solid English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow work instructions, diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Work on a range of parts from small to larger components.
• Identify and report product defects or quality issues.
• Keep clear, accurate records of work.
• Handle ESD-sensitive materials properly.
• Take on new tasks as you grow.

What You'll Be Doing:

You’ll build electro-mechanical assemblies from the ground up — reading blueprints and work instructions, using hand and power tools, and working on everything from small precision parts to larger components.

• Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, diagrams, and engineering drawings
• Assemble components using hand tools and power tools (ratchets, wrenches, pneumatic tools)
• Work on a variety of parts — from small intricate pieces to heavier components
• Identify and report product defects or quality issues
• Keep clear, accurate records of your work
• Properly handle ESD-sensitive materials and equipment
• Take on new tasks and responsibilities as you grow

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-1+ years of assembly or mechanical experience — new to the field or experienced, both are welcome
• Strong mechanical aptitude (formal experience, hobbies, shop class, or general comfort working with tools all count)
• Comfortable using hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, and battery/pneumatic tools
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
• Strong attention to detail
• Solid English communication skills, written and verbal
