Job summary

Verto People is seeking a Mechanical QA Inspector to support site quality assurance on a power generation project in Texas. You will inspect mechanical equipment installations, verify compliance with specifications, and work with construction teams to resolve quality issues before handover.

Key duties include inspecting equipment on delivery, verifying alignment and grouting, witnessing tank testing, reviewing supplier documentation, and maintaining inspection records.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of mechanical inspection experience in power or process plants.
• Experience inspecting large rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII and API tank standards.
• Good documentation and inspection record keeping.

• Verify equipment positioning, alignment and grouting against manufacturer requirements.

You’ll inspect mechanical equipment installations, verify compliance with specifications and work with construction teams to resolve quality issues before handover.

• Inspect tank installations and witness associated testing.

Requirements

• At least seven years of mechanical inspection experience within power or process plants.
• Practical experience inspecting large rotating equipment installations.
• Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII and applicable API tank standards.
• Confidence reviewing technical documents and maintaining accurate inspection records.
• A relevant technical qualification or equivalent field experience.

Previous owner-side inspection experience, OSHA 30 and familiarity with digital construction documentation tools would be advantageous.
