Job summary

Verto People is recruiting a QA/QC Manager to lead owner-side quality oversight on a power generation project in Texas. You’ll manage a multidisciplinary inspection team, oversee contractor quality performance, and ensure installation and testing meet project requirements.

The ideal candidate has extensive construction quality experience in heavy industry, a proven track record representing an owner with EPC contractors, and strong knowledge of ASME and AWS codes.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of construction quality experience within power generation or heavy industry.
• At least five years representing an owner and overseeing EPC contractors under lump-sum contracts.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary inspection teams.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME and AWS codes.
• An engineering degree or equivalent field experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead site quality personnel across inspection disciplines.
• Review contractor quality plans, inspection and test plans, and supporting records.
• Establish and manage inspection hold points and witness requirements.
• Track nonconformances and verify corrective actions through to closure.
• Review welding, examination and testing documentation.
• Coordinate supplier and fabrication shop inspections as required.
