Job summary

icon Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager II to join our Project Management team at our Charlotte, NC office. Ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience and will manage all phases of mechanical construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines, and communications are maintained.

You will oversee subcontractors, schedules, safety, and client relationships while supporting project delivery from start to finish. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years as a Project Manager in mechanical construction or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering or proven construction experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC and piping systems, building products, and codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Viewpoint, ProCore, ACC Build, and BlueBeam.
• Strong communication and multi-tasking across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, organize, and distribute contract documents and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator to log construction documents and manuals.
• Ensure site safety compliance and coordinate safety logistics with personnel.
• Oversee field installation of mechanical systems and ensure work meets plans and specs.
• Manage subcontractor performance, contracts, schedule activities, and changes.
• Develop and manage project schedules with engineers and schedulers.
• Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment resources with field leadership.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, and provide financial updates throughout the project.
• Oversee payables/receivables, invoices, and cost changes with subcontractors.
• Build and maintain client relationships by identifying opportunities for senior leadership.
