CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking an HVAC design/PM to lead projects from pre-construction to commissioning. You will guide cross‑functional teams, ensure code compliance, and deliver on-time, within-budget HVAC solutions while nurturing client relationships.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of HVAC design and project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; PE preferred; EIT/FE acceptable if PE not held.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP, BIM workflows, and CD production.
  • Hands-on HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, duct/piping design, and controls integration.
  • Familiarity with energy modeling tools and performance analysis.
  • Experience in pre-construction services, cost estimating, constructability reviews, and value engineering.
  • Strong project management skills: scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing abilities.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and commissioning practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HVAC project execution from pre-construction through commissioning.
  • Produce and review mechanical design and construction documents for code compliance.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical/MEP disciplines, contractors, and owner reps.
  • Develop schedules, manage budgets, track performance, and report status to clients and leadership.
  • Prepare and review HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, system schematics, and control strategies; oversee energy modeling as required.
  • Lead constructability reviews and provide cost input during pre-construction to optimize design and value engineering.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, site observations, punch lists; ensure timely resolution of field issues and QA.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and designers; coordinate external consultants and specialty contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, sustainability, and QA processes; support commissioning and system start-up.
  • Maintain proactive client communication and pursue opportunities for additional work.

Overview

In this role you lead HVAC-focused mechanical projects from pre-construction to commissioning, blending engineering expertise with strong project management.
