Job summary

Placed is seeking leaders to own client relationships and drive HVAC projects from proposal to closeout across three levels: Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Project Executive. The role covers liaison duties with clients, vendors, and partners, plus management of contracts, pre-construction tasks, and cross-functional coordination.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in HVAC project management, with strong budgeting, communication, and leadership skills

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of HVAC projects from $50,000 to $100+ million.
• Proven ability to work independently to execute and achieve organizational goals set by leadership.
• Strong integrity, transparency, and accountability.
• Experience cultivating client relationships and driving new business development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison, account manager, and single point of contact for both the business and the customer, leading external meetings and cultivating strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
• Manage projects and contracts end-to-end, from sales initialization through final execution.
• Execute core pre-construction functions including concept engineering, comprehensive estimating, and drafting written proposals.
• Coordinate interdepartmental efforts by supervising internal teams across engineering, purchasing, accounting, construction, and service, facilitating communication through regular project and pre-construction meetings.
• Provide field and installation supervision by coordinating sequencing between the customer and field leadership while directly overseeing field labor.
• Maintain financial and administrative control through budgeting, forecasting, and job-cost tracking, while managing critical documentation like billing, contracts, change orders, and legal protections.
• Support team development by mentoring, training, and coaching sales staff to drive growth, assisting with recruitment and technical studies, and handling other duties as assigned

We're partnered with leading mechanical contractor serving many locations throughout the U.S., and they're growing their project leadership team. They're hiring across three levels — Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Project Executive — for candidates who can serve as the primary client relationship owner and drive mechanical/HVAC projects from proposal through closeout. What You Bring

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of HVAC projects from $50,000 to $100+ million
• Valid Class C driver's license
• Proven ability to work independently to execute and achieve organizational goals set by leadership
• Consistently high integrity, transparency, and accountability
• Demonstrated experience cultivating client relationships and driving new business development
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a track record of success in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• An active, strategic presence within key industry or community-based organizations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
• Preferred: Experience with business systems software such as JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, or Smartsheet
