Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Mechanical Construction Project Manager in El Cajon, CA to oversee field teams, subcontractors, and project scope from site to completion. This role requires coordinating schedules, managing safety compliance, and ensuring project milestones are met.

You will read blueprints, monitor labor productivity, handle change orders, and maintain cash flow and reporting for active projects.

• Develop understanding of the full scope: plans, specs, logistics, materials, equipment, submittals.
• Perform quality control duties, means and methods for mechanical construction projects.
• Manage project cash flow, projections, reporting, and personnel.
• Procure materials and equipment.
• Handle change orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: USD100000 - USD150000 per year

Mechanical Project Manager

Location: El Cajon, CA 92020, must be able to commute between Otay Mesa and Carlsbad for job sites

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, schedule may vary depending on projects

Pay: $100,000 - $150,000 DOE

Project Managers are responsible for directing and overseeing the work activities of their direct reports and to be available during the hours that any direct reports are working.

Job Duties:

• Maintain a positive relationship with all customers and field personnel
• Coordinate and supervise all field personnel and subcontractors
• Ensure all field personnel and subcontractors are following all job site safety protocols
• Provide updates on field labor productivity for all active projects
• Develop a thorough understanding of the entire scope of work, including plans, specs, logistics, materials, equipment, submittals and other requirements
• Perform quality control duties, means and methods for all mechanical construction projects
• Project cash flow, Projections, Reporting, and Personnel Management
• Material and equipment procurement
• Change order management
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize work assignments
• Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans and programs
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 4+ years previous Mechanical Construction Project Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Works, Project, Access, and Powerpoint), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.
