Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for the Counce Mill to provide mechanical engineering support and drive mill goals. The role focuses on planning, developing, coordinating and directing projects within budget while maintaining safety and reliability.

Minimum requirements include a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of experience, preferably in the paper industry.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in the paper industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and direct mechanical engineering projects to a successful completion including meeting the monetary budget.
• Implement projects such that desired results are achieved.
• Adhere to mill safety regulations and promote safety in the performance of job functions.
• Install projects for ease of maintenance and operations. Provide necessary documentation and recommended spare parts.
• Ensure that adequate training is provided.
• Participate and contribute to mill improvement projects.
• Secure and direct the services of outside consultants when required.
