Job summary

McGraw Kokosing is a leading MEP and industrial maintenance contractor based in Middletown, OH. We are seeking a Project Engineer to oversee engineering activities, procurement planning, design review, and coordination with project teams on industrial maintenance and construction projects.

The role requires 2+ years of construction project engineering experience and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management; strong reading of drawings, safety focus, and problem-solving are

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction project engineering or a similar role.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret work specifications.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities (planning procurement, design review, project controls, work assignments).
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the construction schedule.
• Prepare documents to obtain quotes from vendors for material, equipment, and other items.
• Track material deliveries.
• Interface with departments, divisions, and internal staff on budgeting, staffing, discipline, training, and scheduling.
• Review engineering plans and vendor submittals.
• Monitor crew assignments to meet productivity goals.
• Conduct field walks and spot checks of work performed.
• Ensure compliance with county, state, and OSHA policies and regulations.
