Job summary

Yearout Mechanical, a Legence Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to act as the operational hub for complex mechanical projects, coordinating with PMs and field teams to keep scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety on track.

You will handle documentation, BIM/CADD coordination, vendor management, and client communication, bringing 3–5 years of commercial construction experience or 10+ years in lieu of a degree. Onsite/in-office work with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 3–5 years in commercial construction or 10+ years in lieu of degree.
• HVAC/Plumbing mechanical contractor experience on mid-to-large commercial projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and logs.
• Update master schedules and flag risks.
• Support job cost control, vendor pricing, POs, and progress billings.
• Assist QA/QC, pre-task analyses, site walks, and toolbox talks; drive punchlist closure.
• Coordinate model updates and field integration with BIM/CADD partners.
• Source materials, track deliveries, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Prepare for and participate in project meetings; assist subcontractor selection and oversight.
• Assemble O&M manuals, as-builts, and final turnover documents.
