Job summary

Yearout Mechanical, a Legence Company, seeks a Project Engineer to lead complex HVAC/plumbing projects with PMs and field teams to keep scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety on track. You’ll manage documentation, scheduling, BIM/CADD coordination, vendor relationships, and client communications.

Required: construction management or mechanical engineering background with 3–5 years in commercial construction, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree; onsite/in-office work;

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management or mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years mechanical construction experience in lieu of degree
• Experience on mid-to-large commercial HVAC/plumbing projects

Responsibilities

• Own RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and logs
• Update master schedules and flag risks
• Support job cost control and vendor pricing
• Assist QA/QC, pre-task analyses, site walks, toolbox talks
• Coordinate BIM/CADD model updates with partners
• Source materials and track deliveries; manage vendor relations
• Prepare for meetings and assist in subcontractor selection
• Assemble O&M manuals, as-builts, and turnover documents
