Job summary

Osborn Engineering Company is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer with 4–7 years of experience for our Cleveland office. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of Revit and mechanical design in the consulting engineering environment.

Responsibilities include load calculations, ductwork and piping layouts, equipment sizing, coordinating with disciplines, and site involvement during construction. Proficiency in Revit, IES VE, HAP, TRACE and building codes is required.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in Mechanical Design in Consulting Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and load calculation software (Revit, IES VE, HAP, TRACE).
• Knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices.
• Experience in Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education and/or Institutional projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced heating and cooling load calculations with Trace or HAP.
• Develop sections and elevations of complex ductwork and piping areas.
• Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases.
• Edit specifications to reflect project requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for all HVAC details.
• Meet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application.
• Prepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents.
