Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer-Mechanical to support federal construction projects in the Anchorage area. The role emphasizes site observation, contract administration, QA, and effective communication with government personnel on large-scale campuses.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related), with at least five years of relevant experience in government projects and mechanical systems. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering; construction and contract administration experience.
  • Experience with government clients, preferred.
  • US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or USACE projects preferred.
  • Experience with large campus-type projects preferred.
  • Mechanical systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction engineering services on federal projects valued up to tens to hundreds of millions.
  • Perform site observation and reporting on multiple projects to government personnel.
  • Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities.
  • Review and interpret plans, specs, submittals, schedules, changes, and claims.
  • Prepare field surveillance and daily detailed reports covering cost and engineering factors.
  • Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
  • Interact with clients and contractors with a professional presentation and strong communication.
  • Experience with USACE projects viewed as a plus.
