Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer-Mechanical to support multiple federal construction projects from our Anchorage, AK area office.

The role emphasizes field observation, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with design and government requirements. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering (preferably Mechanical), has at least five years of relevant experience on large-scale projects, and demonstrates strong communication, reporting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years engineering, construction and contract administration experience.
• Experience with government clients is preferred.
• USACE project experience is preferred.
• Experience on large campus-type projects is preferred.
• Mechanical systems experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering services on federal projects valued from millions to hundreds of millions of dollars.
• Site observation and reporting to government personnel on multiple projects.
• Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities.
• Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, schedules, changes, cost estimates, pay apps, change orders and claims.
• Provide field surveillance and prepare daily detailed reports on cost and engineering factors.
• Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
