Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to manage federal construction projects in Anchorage, AK. The role emphasizes observation, reporting to government personnel, and supervising construction activities in compliance with contract requirements.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 10+ years on large federal projects, and a PE license is preferred. RMS experience is important for daily field reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience on large federal construction projects (USACE/DoD).
  • Experience with vertical construction projects and building systems is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • Ability to obtain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report on projects to government personnel.
  • Oversee construction, contract administration, and QA activities per regulations.
  • Analyze design and construction issues related to contract requirements.
  • Provide engineering determinations to meet contract requirements.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, construction issues, and claims.
  • Assist in preparing documents for change orders and claims.
  • Review schedules and pay applications for balance with work features.
  • Provide field surveillance and detailed daily reports.
  • Utilize RMS for project management and reporting.
