Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer-Structural in Anchorage, AK to provide construction engineering services on federal projects with values ranging up to hundreds of millions.

Duties include site observation, contract administration, and QA oversight. The candidate should have a BS in Engineering (structural preferred) and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with preference for USACE projects and large campus-type projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Structural.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering, construction and contract administration experience.
• Experience with government clients preferred.
• US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects preferred.
• Experience with large campus-type projects preferred.
• Mechanical systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering services on federal projects valued from tens to hundreds of millions.
• Perform site observation and reporting to government personnel on multiple projects.
• Oversee construction, contract administration and quality assurance per policies and regulations.
• Review plans, specs, submittals, schedules, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.
• Provide field surveillance and prepare daily detailed reports covering cost and engineering considerations.
• Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
• Maintain professional presentation and excellent communication with clients and contractors.
