Job summary

RK Industries in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Project Engineer to help deliver complex mechanical and MEP construction projects. You’ll support project controls, procurement, field coordination, scheduling, and systems execution from preconstruction through closeout.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical project engineering experience.
• Experience in project engineer/MEP coordination roles.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems and commissioning.
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, procurement, scheduling, change orders, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, as‑builts, and project documentation.
• Coordinate procurement activities including equipment tracking, vendor communication, and long‑lead material management.
• Support project schedules through look‑ahead planning, milestone tracking, and coordination of project activities.
• Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and clients to support successful project execution.
• Assist with change orders, cost tracking, forecasting, buyout activities, and subcontract administration.
• Participate in site walks, QA/QC inspections, commissioning support, turnover, and project closeout activities.
• Help coordinate the installation and execution of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, process piping, and utility systems.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
