Job summary

Johnsonville is offering an 8-month Mechanical / Project Engineer Co-op at our Tech Center in Wisconsin. The successful candidate will join the Johnsonville Engineering Team and contribute to world-class projects in the food engineering field, with exposure to robotics, control systems, and manufacturing processes.

The program runs with start dates in January 2027 or May 2027, and requires pursuing a Mechanical Engineering/Technology degree, with GPA standards as listed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or related field.
• Junior or senior status preferred.
• Minimum 2.70 overall GPA and 3.0 in core concentration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to projects that improve safety, quality and efficiency at production locations.
• Learn aspects of the sausage/meat business and apply engineering skills to real projects.
• Develop Project Vision, Objective(s), Scope, Timelines and Deliverables.
• Assist project automation and design engineers with new project implementations.
• Work with cross-functional project teams supporting customers of the engineering team.
• Learn how ideas go from concept to implementation in a manufacturing environment.
