Job summary
Johnsonville Sausage, LLC invites motivated mechanical engineering students to join our 8-month Mechanical / Project Engineering Co-op at the Tech Center. You will work on real projects, learn from engineering teammates, and contribute to safety, quality and efficiency across production locations.
The program starts January 4, 2027, or May 24, 2027, offering hands-on experience with robotics, control systems and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology.
- Junior or senior status preferred.
- Minimum 2.70 overall GPA and 3.0 GPA in core concentration.
- Experience with Word, Excel, and Project; AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Learn to lead and contribute to projects improving safety, quality and efficiency.
- Support project automation and design engineers on new initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional project teams across locations.
- Develop project vision, scope, timelines and deliverables.
- Gain grass roots experience in Johnsonville's manufacturing environment.
