Job summary

Trinseo LLC is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to champion a strong safety culture across global operations. You will lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and updates to safety programs while partnering with EH&S, manufacturing, and engineering teams to minimize risk.

The role requires a chemical or mechanical engineering degree with 5–7+ years of relevant experience, fluency in English, and the ability to travel periodically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (chemical or mechanical).
• 5–7+ years in a production facility, process safety, or process engineering.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of process safety principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience auditing manufacturing facilities and leading investigations.

Responsibilities

• Direct risk assessment methods including PHA and LOPA.
• Lead or participate in plant incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Train facility personnel on process safety programs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update process safety programs, tools, and standards.
• Support process engineering and equipment specification reviews.
• Conduct process safety audits and help implement corrective actions.
• Assist in safe transit of hazardous goods and respond to emergencies.
