Job summary

IMEG Corp is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design for Oklahoma City, OK or Rogers, AR. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver quality, code-compliant systems and manage budgets and schedules on various projects.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a PE license, plus 2–4 years of experience in building design consulting. Strong communication and mentoring abilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
• 2 years of experience minimum; 4 preferred in building design consulting.
• Proficiency in design techniques and tools for mechanical plans and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection.
• Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff.
• Experience with HVAC load calculation software and BIM tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems per code and IMEG standards.
• Create detailed designs, calculations, specifications using engineering software.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Support project execution with budgeting and scheduling oversight.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress (percent complete and fee expended).
• Analyze engineering problems with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Perform in-process reviews of designs and maintain IMEG quality control.
• Stay current with industry trends and BIM/design best practices.
