Job summary

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc. (UMEC) in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer.

The candidate will be located in our Anaheim area and join a team with BIM capabilities, design/build services, and a focus on complex mechanical and industrial installations. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience as a Construction Project Engineer, with knowledge of HVAC design, project scheduling, and estimating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3 years industry experience as a Construction Project Engineer preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC & plumbing design and system operation.

Responsibilities

• Project estimating (take-off & analysis).
• Project scheduling (manpower scheduling).
• Manage RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Prepare submittal packages.
• Manage flow of contractor provided submittal data.
• Assist in data population of forms.
• Prepare project progress billings.
• Assist in technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving of HVAC systems.
