Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Product Engineer to support design, development, and continuous improvement of products. You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years engineering experience.
• 2+ years 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks or Creo).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Translate market/customer requirements into product design specifications.
• Develop and modify designs for manufacturability and performance.
• Support engineering standards and design processes.
• Collaborate on mechanical/electrical design activities in product development.
• Evaluate new technologies and materials for product design.
• Create and maintain 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Mentor engineering staff and collaborate across departments.
• Assist with cost-reduction through material/component choices.
• Maintain records in ERP/MRP systems.
• Contribute to prototype fabrication and testing.
• Support engineering changes with calculations and drawings.
