Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Chico seeks a journey-level Project Engineer who will provide engineering, design, project management and technical support to O&M staff for moderately complex generation and infrastructure projects. Requires mastery of Associate-level duties and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum BS in Engineering, California PE license (or eligible within 18 months), and at least three years of project engineering experience; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four-year BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited U.S. curriculum is required.
• Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility with plan to obtain within 18 months.
• Minimum three years of cumulative experience in project engineering, design, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Leads design and/or project management efforts for moderately complex generation projects.
• Provides broad technical support to O&M including incident investigation and corrective actions.
• Controls scope, schedule, cost, and quality across project life cycle with internal/external stakeholders.
• Reviews engineering analyses, develops alternatives, and certifies drawings and reports.
• Interacts with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies; negotiates contracts when required.
