Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Redding, California, seeks an Associate Level Project Engineer to provide engineering, project management, and technical support for small to medium capital and expense improvements to power generation facilities. The position requires a BS in Engineering, EIT, California PE license, and at least 18 months of experience; electrical degree and PE license are preferred.

Qualifications

• A 4-year BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited curriculum in the US or equivalent.
• Current and active Engineering-In-Training (E.I.T.) Certification.
• Current and active California PE license.
• At least 18 months of engineering and/or project management experience.
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Electrical PE license preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams as the discipline engineer or project manager.
• Prepare design criteria, calculations, and documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and construction firms.
• Ensure project scope, schedule, and cost are tracked.
• Provide construction support and field inspections.
