Job summary

Proteinea is seeking an experienced Mechanical PMO lead to oversee project planning, controls, performance monitoring, and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality objectives.

You will mentor PMO engineers, standardize processes, and coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and site teams to produce forecasts and actionable recommendations for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years in PMO, project controls, planning, or PM.
• Experience in leading teams and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Mechanical PMO team and ensure effective project controls.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and performance monitoring.
• Monitor baselines, budgets, milestones, KPIs, and overall project performance.
• Identify risks, delays, and deviations; develop recovery and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Cost Control, Technical, Procurement, and Site teams.
• Prepare and review weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Lead project review meetings and follow up on actions and decisions.
• Support change management, variations, claims, forecasting, and project controls activities.
• Standardize PMO processes, reporting systems, and performance-monitoring practices.
• Provide management with forecasts, analysis, and recommendations.
• Mentor PMO engineers and ensure team performance.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in PMO, Project Controls, Planning, or Project Management.
• Previous experience in team leadership and managing multiple projects.
• Strong experience in industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or contracting projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost monitoring, risk management, and reporting.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in mega projects is highly preferred.
