Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. is seeking an Order Planner to coordinate production scheduling, BOM setup, and routing in ERP while tracking orders and expediting as needed.

This full-time role includes collaboration with Sales, backorder support, and regular office-based workflow with up to 20% shop floor time. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and bring attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (related majors also considered).
• Experience planning orders in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication throughout tasks.
• Full-time availability, occasional Saturday overtime.
• Familiarity with machining practices a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan orders using production resources and coordinate with Sales.
• Set BOMs and work routing in the ERP system (MS Dynamics AX).
• Track orders through the shop and expedite when needed.
• Assist with parts backorders and field questions for work in progress.
• Use MS Office Suite to maintain workflow and documentation.
• Spend up to 20% of time in the shop environment.
