Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer in Memphis, TN. The role performs routine design tasks under close supervision, developing piping drawings from sketches and engineering information while aligning with project standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in mechanical/piping drafting, familiarity with P&ID and GA drawings, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation. A strong team player with good communication skills is essential for field support and startup

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
Knowledge and application of piping materials in respect to drafting.
Drafting of utility and process piping drawings, P&ID's and GA's.
Working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards.
Drafting and design activities in developing piping drawings from sketches and engineering information.
Assist in field design work to ascertain current conditions, locate new systems, communicate with client personnel and assist in construction.
Preparing material take-offs from piping drawings.
Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.
On-site assistance during startup.
