Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc in Memphis seeks a Mechanical/Piping Draftsperson to perform design on less complex tasks under supervision and assist on larger projects. You will draft piping drawings from sketches and engineering information, and support field design activities to verify conditions and communicate with clients.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant industrial drafting experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and familiarity with CAD standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Familiarity with piping materials drafting and P&ID/GA drawings.
• Knowledge of company CAD drafting standards and procedures.
• Proficient use of Word, Excel and Outlook; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team.
• Drafting piping drawings from sketches and engineering information.
• Assisting in field design work to ascertain current conditions and communicate with client personnel.
• Preparing material take-offs from piping drawings.
• Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.
• On-site assistance during startup.
