Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer with 4+ years of industrial experience to perform complete designs of mechanical and piping assignments under supervision.

You will develop piping drawings from P&IDs, GA’s, and specifications, participate in field design to verify conditions, and assist in startup activities on site. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Microstation, as well as MS Office, is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of piping materials.
• Design of less complex piping systems.
• Knowledge of piping supports and restraints.
• Flexibility analysis of piping systems.
• Drafting of P&IDs and GA’s.
• Ability to estimate completion of tasks.
• Familiarity with CAD drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with project scope, specs and design criteria.
• Developing design and drafting of moderately complex piping drawings from basic information.
• Performing field design to assess conditions and locate new systems.
• Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings.
• Plan and manage site design activities for optimal results.
• Assist in startup on site.
