Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. in Utah’s Eagle Mountain area is seeking a Mechanical Pipefitter to join our Utah Division. The role requires reading blueprints, laying out piping, and installing equipment on water and wastewater projects across the region.

This full-time, on-site position demands at least five years of piping and equipment installation experience and a high school diploma or GED. Safety-conscious candidates who can operate lifts and rigging equipment will thrive on our team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of experience installing piping and equipment on multi-functional water/wastewater projects required.

Responsibilities

• Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Lay out mechanical piping and install equipment such as clarifiers, filters, and pumps.
• Monitor safety for all on-site personnel and subcontractors.
• Help the Project Superintendent monitor project labor.
• Understand the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Knowledge of different types of process piping materials: PVC, Steel, SST, and DIP.
• Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift and boom lift operations.
• Any and all other duties assigned.
