Job summary

The M.C. Dean Mechanical Operations & Engineering Manager leads the site’s SME for HVAC, chilled water, and related systems, focusing on reliability, performance, and vendor oversight. This role reports to site leadership and drives troubleshooting, system optimization, and adherence to standards in mission-critical facilities.

You'll mentor technicians, coordinate with controls teams, and integrate maintenance strategies within Work Control and SOPs, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field with 5+ years in facilities operations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Expert level knowledge and field experience with HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Strong planning, vendor management, and performance reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site as Mechanical Operations SME for HVAC, chilled water, steam, and hydronic systems.
• Provide technical oversight of mechanical vendors and contractors.
• Review SOO and coordinate with controls/BAS teams to optimize system functionality.
• Develop and enhance preventative maintenance and reliability programs.
• Mentor mechanical technicians and support field execution during major repairs.
