Skilled Trades Partners in Lexington, KY is seeking an experienced Mechanical/MEP Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial projects from award to closeout. You will coordinate schedules, budgets, field crews, and subcontractors to keep projects moving while maintaining safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have strong MEP construction background, proven leadership, and the ability to drive multiple projects with a focus on profitability.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial MEP construction.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong budget tracking, scheduling, and coordination skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage multiple commercial and industrial construction projects from award through completion.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, labor, materials, and overall profitability.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Work closely with general contractors, owners, engineers, and other trades to keep projects moving.
• Coordinate material procurement, equipment deliveries, manpower, and project scheduling.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays, and resolve challenges.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on scheduling, budgets, and issues.
• Ensure projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
• Track costs, labor hours, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Lexington, KY | Direct Hire | $110,000–$140,000

Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Mechanical/MEP Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with an established and growing contractor in the Lexington, KY area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or fire protection who is ready to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial construction experience, a solid understanding of field operations, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects, crews, schedules, and budgets. We are open to experienced Project Managers as well as Superintendents and Foremen looking to advance into project management.

Candidates with experience managing commercial or industrial mechanical systems, plumbing, HVAC, or fire protection projects are encouraged to apply.

Local candidates are preferred, but relocation candidates will be considered.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial MEP construction preferred
• Background in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or related construction trades
• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of construction operations, project scheduling, labor coordination, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Experience coordinating field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors
• Familiarity with project budgets, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial or industrial mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or fire protection project experience
• Previous hands-on field experience with progression into leadership or project management
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with project financials, forecasting, and WIP reporting
• Experience with large commercial, healthcare, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial projects
• Established relationships with general contractors and construction professionals in Kentucky
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Compensation & Benefits

• $110,000–$140,000 salary, based on experience
